• A very powerful, primordial image.
  The mundane concrete block transformed as
  abstracted skull eye sockets.
  The image comes across as a deeply bitten
  and highly burnished intaglio print. A definite
  graphic quality to the image that seems to
  transform cement into stone and bone.
  Indeed, not a stretch to link the sepulchral
  overtones of this image to Mayan sacrificial
  altars.
  X marks the spot , that 'appointment in
  Samarra' we all will make.
