Fire that works. The sky was pitch black and presented each explosion as its own masterpiece.

Holy Mother! This is superb! Photographing fireworks is one thing I've never done, I don't think I could match this. Bravo

Definitely not a stereotypical fireworks shot.
What strikes me is how still or frozen the light is. Actually more like peacock feathers than exploding gunpowder.
The focus is much more on the point of the explosion's origin than its aftermath or fallout.
