To be sure, I'm not known for wildlife photography; if at all. However, I dig the animal kingdom and felt compelled to visit the local raptor center with camera in hand.
Russell is a red tailed hawk and she was very interested in my lens. The animals I spent time watching were absolutely amazing. I deem them "Superfly."

Cerstin @ February 15, 2010 - More than just another bird picture, this arresting image could easily be the embodiment of Horus.
The oldest of ancient Egyptian deities, Horus, the national god of kings, was often depicted by only the Wedjat, or heiroglyhic eye symbol.
Very Egyptian in composition as well as color: a profile view of the head with a frontal view of the circular eye. This is an impossible view of the human head but was always drawn this way by ancient Egyptians.
The all seeing eye of your Horus sighting, is strategically placed in the image and complemented by the dark shadow to the left and dark background area above.
Another incredible image that conveys regal power in an unassuming manner, but which goes way beyond the typical bird picture in its symbolic impact.
